Get Help With Your Heating Bill

Governor Dayton has ordered the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) to increase the income level for household eligibility for the Energy Assistance Program. Our local assistance provider, Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) can now give assistance to households with income up to 60% of the State Median Income.

If you need help paying your electric bill AEOA may be able to help. The change in income guidelines is retroactive to the beginning of the program year, so even if you have been turned down before you may now be eligible for aid.

To contact AEOA call 1- 800-662-5711.

AEOA provides financial grants to be used towards energy costs for residential heating bills.  Additional funds are available for crisis situations and energy-related repairs.  Information on energy conservation practices is also available.
