Low Income Home Energy Assistance Available

Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEA), a program funded by the United States Department of Health & Human Services, has released $108 million dollars to the State of Minnesota.  Arrowhead Electric members seeking financial help should contact the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA).  Members may contact AEOA’s Virginia, MN office at 1- 800-662-5711 or may download the application online at www.aeoa.org.  LIHEA funds are dispersed based on family size and income.  Members are encouraged to contact AEOA and apply for assistance as soon as possible as funds are limited.

In addition to LIHEA funds members can learn more about reducing energy costs online at www.mnbrighterideas.com and www.touchstoneenergysavers.com.  Alternatively, members may call or come into Arrowhead Electric Cooperative to learn more about saving on your home energy costs.
