RUMORS ARE OUT! and… THEY ARE TRUE ~ WHILE SUPPLIES LAST
LED’s light the holiday season for less!
If all the decorative lights sold in the country this year were ENERGY STAR-certified for efficiency, it would save over 2 billion kilowatt-hours per year – that’s enough to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of nearly 300,000 cars.
To help co-op members save money when they light up their homes and trees this holiday season, Arrowhead Electric is offering coupons for $3.00 off GE LED Holiday Lights, anywhere they are sold. Coupons were included in November’s billing; you can also stop by the office to pick them up while supplies last.
Arrowhead Electric will be collecting working and non working light strings to be recycled by the MRCI WorkSource (located in Mankato, Minnesota) where individuals with disabilities will remove the old bulbs and recycle both the glass and the strings. In exchange for the light strings you bring in Arrowhead will return up to 3 strings of LED lights . While supplies last, hurry in … because they are going fast!
The coupons are of no value when they can’t be redeemed. In Grand Marais, GE lights are NOT carried by ACE, Bucks, or Joynes. Any ideas?
Dave –
The coupons were intended to make purchases easier. Clearly if the merchants you shop at don’t carry the GE brand then they are of no value. However, Arrowhead Electric has offered and continues to provide a rebate of $3 per LED string when you mail or drop off your reciepts at our office in Lutsen. A credit will be applied to the following months statement. We would encourage you to continue shopping locally and in the future we will make contact with these retailers and encourage them to purchase GE brand LED’s (as that is the only brand we are able to get coupons for). Thanks for the notice. Call the office if you have any further questions. 663-7239.
